6/15/2018 - BTPD Apprehends Serial Burglar/Thief

BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ
– On Thursday, June 14, 2018, the Burlington Township Police Department arrested a suspect responsible for multiple burglaries and thefts at the Masonic Village construction site on Jacksonville Road in Burlington Township.

The investigation began on May 31, 2018 when officers responded to the construction site for the report of an overnight burglary and theft of construction materials and tools.  Additional burglaries and thefts were reported on June 4th, June 6th, June 8th with the stolen items consisting once again of construction materials and tools.

Through their investigation, detectives were able to identify Bogdan Kania (41 year old male from Lawrenceville, NJ) as a suspect.  He was taken into custody on June 14th and determined to be involved in two of the incidents.  Kania was charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of theft, and he was later lodged in Burlington County Jail.
