Domestic Violence Response Team (D.V.R.T.)
This is a group of dedicated volunteers from our community, Burlington City and Florence Township. These individuals are called upon, any time of day or night, when a member of our community is involved in an act of domestic violence. They respond to police headquarters and assist victims with the processes involved in a case of domestic violence.
The D.V.R.T. has undergone 40 hours of training by the Providence House about topics such as crisis management, filing a temporary restraining order, and conflict resolution.
The team is always looking for new members and anyone interested in becoming a member should e-mail the Burlington Township Police Department Community Resource Bureau, Officer Dave Edwards at dedwards34@burltwppd.com.
