Organization

Burlington Township Police Department is comprised of three divisions, Administrative, Operations and Investigations, as shown in the Burlington Township Police Department Organization Chart.

The Department head is the Public Safety Director, whose responsibility encompasses all three divisions, as well as Accreditation and Emergency Management.

Within each Division are units:

  • The Administrative Division has responsibility for Information Technology, Training, Scheduling, Grants, Community Resources and Records.
  • The Investigations Division has responsibility for the Office of Professional Standards, Detectives and Juvenile (which includes School Resource and DARE Officers).
  • The Operations Division has responsibility for all Patrol Officers, Police Communication Clerks, Special Officers and Crossing Guards. There are several special units in the Operations Division; Bicycle, Honor Guard, Traffic, EMT and Fire Investigations.
