Property Check Form – This form is used to alert the Burlington Township Police Department when you will be away from home for an extended period of time. The form can be printed, completed and dropped off at the Burlington Township Police Department, 851 Old York Rd. Please make sure to complete the form in its entirety and drop it off or mail it to us at least 48 hours in advance of your departure. The police will routinely check your residence while you are gone and notify your emergency contact in the event of a problem.
Yard Sale Permit– Burlington Township allows residents to conduct yard sales twice annually. There is no charge for this permit however; anyone having a yard sale without a permit or having more than two annually is subject to a fine. Please print the permit, complete it and bring it to the Burlington Township Police Department, 851 Old York Rd, to obtain your permit number and authorization.
Peddler, Solicitor, Non-Profit Making Vendor, Auctioneer Permit – Burlington Township’s Ordinance 12:5 requires the regulation and licensing of all peddlers, solicitors, non-profit making vendors and auctioneers. The form must be completed in its entirety and submitted to Administration at the Burlington Township Police Department between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday [except holidays]. Along with the application, the following items must be included:
- Letter from the company that he/she is representing, which authorizes him/her to act as a representative for the said company
- Two (2) photographs (1 ½” x 1 ½” in size)
- $25.00 processing fee
- $10.00 licensing fee
- Photocopy of a valid driver’s license
- Fingerprint cards (to be completed by Burlington Township Police Department)
Temporary Handicap Placards– Temporary handicap placards are for temporary disabilities only. Temporary disabilities are broken legs, surgery, etc. Temporary handicap placard applications for Burlington Township Residents are obtained through the Burlington Township Police Department, 851 Old York Rd., at the Police desk. Instructions are included with the form and must be followed completely. Once the form is completed and signed by the doctor, it is returned to the Administrative Secretary for approval and the issuance of the temporary parking placard.
Cancer, arthritis, lupus are examples of permanent disabilities and require a permanent handicap placard, which is issued through the State. The Burlington Township Police Department cannot issue permanent handicap placards.
