School Resource Officer S. R. O.
The Burlington Township Police Department and the Burlington Township School District have developed a great relationship that allows the police department to have an active role in our community’s children. Officer George Bogda is the School Resource Officer assigned to the High School and Officer Scott Carey is the SRO assigned to the Middle School.
Officer Bogda and Officer Carey work together to handle any situation that involves the school district. They have the ability to speak with the children, parents and staff of the school district in a way that keeps everyone involved in the justice system. They are also trained to present classes with law enforcement related topics or current events as guest speakers. They work closely with the administration and staff of the schools to act in the best interest of the students and to keep the school a safe learning environment for our youth.
Officer Bogda has over 20 years of Law enforcement e
xperience
and has been assigned to the position of SRO for (5) years. OfficerBogda is also
assigned as the Juvenile Officer for the township and is required to keep
accurate data regarding any incidents involving juveniles. This report is
completed and forwarded to the county on a yearly basis. Officer Bogda may be

Officer Carey has over (18) years of experience in Law Enforcement and is
currently a Field Training Officer, assigned to the Bicycle Unit and assists the
Township with updating Curfew Violations. Officer Carey had the privilege of
bringing the WeTip anonymous tip line to our community to assist with fighting
crime. Officer Carey is currently looking forward to his 3rd year as the Middl
